Dynomax Super Turbo's rotting out?

Hi, me again.

I see that the super tubros are "100% Aluminized"

My mechanic told me to look for 100% stainless steel mufflers for my GP, as they will last longer, and that the Aluminized mufflers will rot out.

So, is it true that the SUper Turbos rot out? If so, how long do they last?

Thanks

I've never heard of Dynomax Super Turbos rotting out. But your mechanic is probably correct in his assumption that stainless steel mufflers are better or last longer. Plus the stainless steel systems cost a lot more too.

If we assume rot out is the same as wear out, it wouldn't make any difference because Tenneco has a limited lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship and wear out.

your mechanic is correct, i'd say depending on how long you will be driving your car for, and the type of road and weather conditions, it depends if you want to pitch the extra for it
