Burnouts with a pedal e-brake
Sorry, just a little confused,
I have a FWD Buick Regal LS Automatic with a pedal ebrake. From what I understand to do a burnout you pull the ebrake and hit the acceletator. How do I do this with a pedal ebrake. Or is this completely wrong and I should do something different. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Burnouts with a pedal e-brake
you stamp on the E-brake with your left foot and hit the gas with your right, its not that hard, you could even put the e-brake down first if you had to because you only have 1 working foot or something.

thanks for clearin that up for me, I wasn't sure if the racketing action of the pedal would make it not work as well. Thanks, (and yes I have two feet and can work both at the same time):-)

Make sure you have enough $$ put away to fix the things your going to break impressing yourself ... cause your going to break things.

Re: Burnouts with a pedal e-brake
you put alot of heat into the torque converter and rear brakes and running your car at full throttle with no air flowing over the radiator heats it up pretty well.

As drdisque said along with the whole Trans wont like it. Its just not a bright thing to be doing and serves no purpose with nothing to gain.

Re: Burnouts with a pedal e-brake
Mine is a 97.5 Regal GS. De-badged. You would be surprised how many people dont know the car is supercharged.. At a light, i race a ricer and his wheels give a little spin and then go's. If i mash the pedal to the ground the wheels spin like crazy. Once i melt some rubber and my wheels stop spinning, you can almost feel G-Force. The best part is when i blow past them.... Im sure it makes them feel small.

Re: Burnouts with a pedal e-brake
Burnouts are harder on the car than just about anything you would/could do to it.

Re: Burnouts with a pedal e-brake
The absolute worst is standing on the brake and gas at the same time. Talk about chewing up a trasmission in less than 30 seconds!!!!!!

Re: Burnouts with a pedal e-brake
yea, burnouts really arent that cool when you're holding donw the e-brake. Why dont you just drive around doing nuetral drops, thats even better for the car, if you're lucky, it will backfire!

Re: Burnouts with a pedal e-brake
I never did a burnout on my GP using e-brake. It has foot e-brake as well, I use it to p-park in the rain occasionally. I did mess around with rental cars, 2005 malibu and monte carlo. I did a burnout on the malibu on the Pier on Maui, result was punctured tire and "change oil soon" came up on central console... Monte carlo didn't have enough in it to do a burn out, car takes 12 seconds to do 0-60 mph with 3.5L Engine. I am dead serious about 12 seconds, I have a video of it.
