Bring on the Camaro's! STOCK GT beats heavily modded 2002 SS!
Well, now that i've got your attention, that's a bunch of crap! ha! Wouldn't happen in a million years, unless that LS1 decided to burn the miles down the strip. anywho, about my kill. My buddy drives a 97 LT1 Camaro Z28, and I drive my might 2000 Mustang GT heavily modded. We took to the streets to mess with ricers, but this Pontiac Sunfire, or some little family car like that, full of chicks comes riding up on us. We have walkie-talkies, and we're messing with other saying we're fighting for the chicks! each light we're taking off on, and flying around one another kind of like leapfrog, and funny thing is, the chicks do it too, cuz we're just letting them
As far as the races go, well, I won them all obviously, i do have quite a hp advantage on him. When I'd grab traction, I just took off and went, and he didn't have a prayer. But, there were scary times when I wouldn't bite til my car went to 2nd gear. I'd ride tires spinning and mustang's ass-end moving sideways right alongside that z28 until I'd break into a good 40mph or so. It was humorous to say the least, but, also makes me think I need more traction or I'm gonna lose when I shouldn't. :bandit: I need to take some ls1's now, I'm sure the newest versions will still more than likely give me a run for the money, I'm just looking for a fun race to see how fast my car actually does move its fat little ass. Long post, but, had to tell somebody about the "adventure".

to get a real idea of how fast your car is you should run it down the strip (in other words the 1/4 mile) that about the only way to get an accurate view as to how fast it is. if you don't do it that way all you got is. "well it seems fast" and that could be true or it could just be your brain saying I put a lot of cash in to this so "It has to be" even though I'm sure it's pretty fast cause they run low 14's-high 13's stock.

ha...yeah, i need to get my A$$ moving on this and get it to the 1/4 track to see what it can do. it takes two hours to drive there, though, so, it's almost an all-day adventure...sigh...sooner or later, it won't just seem fast...it might actually be a "little" fast, because i don't really think it's truly up to snuff yet, but that'll cost me another 16k at least to get it there..........and that's another story altogether.........

if you put 16k into that car and it doesn't run a 10 second pass i'd sell it!
with those mods you should be in the mid to low 12's on street tires, and with a good set of slicks on it even some half assed launching skills would get you into the elevens

i don't think my mods will get me near 10 seconds...reason being it's a handling suspension and i'm just not putting out the right hp to weight ratio. anyhow, sorry about the gamestop, they fired me over really bad terms...corporate blamed me for missing games (never touched a thing there) and out i went. no fooling! i got so screwed! oh well, that's life when you have the hard-ass image. car will probably be capable of very high 11s if things are perfect and i'm on soft drag slicks, but i guaruntee you it's no 10 seconder. i'm working on that, though.
it'll be a little ways off, however. run out of funds this time, but soon! i'll wreak some havoc! the car will basically, even with my convertible, i believe outhandle 95% of the cars out there. it has a lot of money in it to accompany more power, that's what i was going for this round, not pure out balls to the wall because if i had done that, it's just a death trap that's probably going to spin more than move due to poor lateral g's. next round, it's an accompaniment of a good 600hp...if things go right...i've got the plans, just need the mother to repay me for some taxes i paid on home a year back. that's just what i need. and i'm not bullschieting! either. it's just not gonna be for a while, at least til house is sold since it's up and that's when i'm repaying. don't flame me, please, i'm really serious about all this. car puts out 420 at the flywheel now and similar torque, but that's not gonna cut it for me...i've tasted power, and now i want more! i'm a greedy little prick...no? :sun: i've been price-shopping again for new mods, that's why this post is all...well..."i'm overly excited and planning on making it meaner talk"...but, i love the car now, and if it's all i can muster, well, at least it's not like i haven't tried... anyhow, post has gotten out of hand...just wanted to clear up why this car would never pull 10s in current form, it got beefed up everywhere, not just straight out power pretty much is the answer.

also, making a 3600-3800 lb car (with driver) run 10s isn't exactly all that easy. you better be making a$$loads of power. it's heavy...but i'm working on that, too!

my suspension's great, but i am working on it still to lighten up the front end for more launch. what part makes me an asshole? i'm just wondering. if i did say something about ricers, i didn't mean every import. there's quite a few i like, and wouldn't mine having as...well...an "alternative" vehicle. but, a lot of times import guys get caught up with some disease that makes them throw on stupid shit. keep them clean of that, and if they're actually decent imports (nsx, integra type-r, etc) then i can respect them. it's just, the stereotype of an import-racer usually lives up wherever i go...i.e. coffee fart can, 3 foot high rear spoiler, neon lights, you know the list. i wish it wasn't this way, because some of the cars could be nice, but there's a line lots of these guys cross.
on the other hand, as for the tires, they aren't helping out, I already knew those are getting replaced after I can wear them out in a few months. i think 295s or greater in rear will suffice as long as they're a soft, plush, and don't forget fuzzy , low-profile tire. :licker:

alright dipshit...did you read every post? the guy said put tires and a suspension on that "Thing"(my car) to grab more traction since i'm spinning all through first. i was simply replying that my mustang has a sufficient enough suspension since it's been redone, not that it's perfect and couldn't use any work, but it's great for the car as is. I bet you're really lucky, to drive an audi....:finger: if you want to talk shit, i'm game.
