We just replaced the battery....
Now when we crank it lagss rrr rrrr rrrrr rooommmm and off we go, I am having a seriously deadly blonde attack and can not diagnoise this and am affraid of the mechianic down the street. It could be the alternator? Either way am concerned and want to know if either is hard to replace I have a 3.0 side alternotor according to the chilton book. any advice / feedback is appricated! Thank you, in advance! |

Re: 1990 - Is it the starter / alternator
Make sure all connections are good. (battery cables, connections to the alternator, connections to the alternator and starter)
Is the alternator belt tight? Is the alternator putting out the correct voltage? Bushings in starters can wear out and cause the starter motor to bind making them hard to start the engine. |
