carb for 1965 cadi

hello cadi people. i just joined the cadi team. i bought a 1965 Deville. it has a 429 engine, but the carburetor is not good. i live in S. CA and i have to go to N.California (San Francisco) to pick up the car. the seller told me that he will charge me $500 to rebuild the carb on the car, but i told him " no thank you" many holley carbs are for sale in ebay for $200..
so please guys, what it the best Carburetor for the car? if you guys know please tell me so i'll buy it and take it with me to drive the car back down south. i don't mind if it was performance carb.

although a performance carb will work, if you are looking for an original, try:

the owner/operator is Donnie Hunter, and they specialize in ONLY Cadillac. He may have an original carb for that car; either rebuilt, or rebuildable. And his business ships anything (saw a hood to a '69 go to Australia once) so a carb to southern Cali won't be anything.
