Steering, Left turn hesitation????please help

I got 99 Grand Prix GT w/125,000 miles on it. Recently the car has developed some type of hesitation. When you make a sharp left turn, the car has a real bad hesitation. It will slowly pick back up with a real jerky feel. Once it levels out that car runs fine. Its almost like the car will not take any fuel. This only happen when making real sharp left hand turns. Right hands turns have no effect. Could anyone give me any ideal of what to check for, or what might be wrong. There is no service engine soon light or anything. Aooreciate any help you can offer. Thanks.

there is a known problem with the rack and pinions on these cars, and your problem sounds like a rack going bad.
