Question just bought 2000 firebird

hello just bought a 3.8 liter 2000 firebird looking for things i could do to build horse power for an automatic should i go for computer chips? gear timing? headers? should i upgrade the dual exhast?

any response will be greatly appreciated

Congrats and all the mod sound good. Throw in a shift kit and sounds like a plan. Although you need to program the PCM not get a chip. Good luck with her.

Get a new rear end...Either go to the junkyard and get one off an LS1 or find one online. Whatever it is make sure it has 3.42 gears in it. When you're ready for PCM tuning send it to texas speed (www.texas-speed.com). That way you don't have to spend hundreds just to get teh software.
