4 channel amp...4 channel rca ?
if you are running 4 rca channels from a head unit back to a 4 channel amp, do you need a 4 channel rca cable or can you use 2 2 channel rca cables?

Use two 2-channel RCA cables. Don't think I've ever seen a 4-channel RCA cable.

Re: 4 channel amp...4 channel rca ?
ok thanks...
there are 4-channel rcas though, but i didnt think you would have to have one for 4-channel audio. one other question...on some rcas there is a sticker with arrows pointing toward one end of the cable. does it matter which end goes to the head unit/LOC and which goes to the amp??? |

Re: 4 channel amp...4 channel rca ?
well, i asked crutchfield too and they got back quick than anybody here, so the answer is Yes.
the arrows should go away from the source..i.e HU/LOC. |

directional wires .... now that's funny
if you use 2 pairs of RCA's, make sure you keep them VERY close together or you will induce loop area engine noise. |

the dreaded alternator noise, it goes up and down in frequency with the rpm of the motor ...... can sound almost like a dentists drill/cleaner
