Cold air intake

Alright so most people have upgraded the stock air to cold air. 1. is this 200.something worth the upgrade? also is there a DIY type of thing?

Yep...and I had one and took it off. Didn't seem to make much difference except make the truck louder...(perceived performance).

I have the K&N FIPK on my 2003 TB, I think its a major improvement over stock, after seeing how it was getting air. Plus I think it cleans up the engine compartment also. I like the loud intake sounds it makes when you floor it.

I put on the TrueFlow intake & I love it so far. It did give it a deeper snarl when you puch it, but it isn't annoying at all.
I did notice right away a better throttle reponse & it seemed quicker. How much quicker....couldn't say...but I did notice an improvement.

Don't remember what I paid....maybe something like $200+ or so.

IMO....well worth the $$$$
