no turn signals 92 taurus

i have a 92 that the turn signals quit workin on so i changed the flasher relay checked the bulbs and grounds..got no where.. then i took the plastic off the colum and began to look around not nowing what to look for and reassembled it and they worked for about 10 minn and no nothing again.. i was told turn signal switch has anybody changed one? im wondering do i need any special tools? or should i be looking else where other that the turn signal switch??

Sounds like the turn signal switch or the wiring to the switch. No special tools needed to change.
Get a wiring diagram and follow the circuit. Test each component and find out where the fault is. It is more economical to test and replace faulty parts instead of guessing and replacing possible good parts.

i called auto zone and they have switch for 43.99 part #sw333 im a go get it tomarrow.. thank you

thanks it was turn signal switch and it only took aprox.. 20 min to change it out.. thank you!!
