Thumbs up What have you beat on the street.

It has been a while since I have been to AF, so I figured I would start a cool thread.

My kills:

1. 5spd 2000 audi A4(with the guys G/F in car)
2. 95 two door golf with turbo kit. (that was awsome)
3. 90 V8 Firebird
4. Turbo Eclipse Automatic
5. Modded 98 Z24 5spd
6. Jetta GLX VR6 5spd
7. Many civics.....
8. Etc....

My losses:

1. 95+ Z28

So far my hybrid has not let me down...I love it.

My kills and losses to date have been insignifacant hogwash. In about a month or two, I will be starting a new, very ambitious list of kills.. and perhaps a couple losses will make it onto the list as well (but I doubt it ).

By the way, question about your A4 kill. Is that the 1.8T or 2.8? The 2.8 is a much more significant kill. In any case, nice job, and keep 'em coming!

Yep...it was a 2.8 5spd....the guy sure did think he was going to beat me. He was laughing, talking to his G/F or wife, and tightly gripping the steering wheel with his left hand....he took me off the line, but once my car stopped bogging at around 6000 rpms I was gone. Moments later I slowed down and let him pass me, I tried to give him the thumbs up, but he would not look at me!

How sad.. some people are such sore losers. I can't wait to trounce on some big guns like 911's, NSX's, and such. I'll probably have some assholes trying to run me off the road!!

Hell yea, chalk up another V-Dub.....Jetta 1.8T....

Once again, VTEC coming in at around 4k rpms really hurt me...he was pulling till I hit 6 grand...then I pulled really hard on him, and once through second it was all over.....ah sleeper. It is the shit.

Talking HXMan-

Soon, my friend. Soon. The parts assembly is almost complete. I finally get the ported cylinder head, along with the B&M FPR and six-puck ACT clutch next week. At that point, the completion of assembling every component needed for my machine will be marked (with exceptions like spark plugs and a new SC belt), except for the exhaust. Unfortunately, seems all the big racing gurus get their needs tended to first, so it is seriously looking like well into October that I should expect to see my new exhaust finally arrive. But I got ALL the rest. With a little luck, I build it all in two weekends (off to do some hard core white water rafting in West Virginia this weekend). And you know that six puck is made for the strip! I'll be hitting it.

Well,
My kill list is pretty long, but i'd have to say my best one would be a mustang GT, don't know which year, wasn't a new one. But then later i got killed by a newer GT. I think its time to go FI.

Right on.. you're not pulling any legs here, are you? That would be awesome if you're serious. You know that few (very few) things can beat a turbocharged H22A.

I almost beat my shadow once.. but then the sun came back out and it spanked me..

Its not much fun racing in an almost stock EX... Wait till I get some boost then hopefully I can add to this list..

my kills, make that kill.

I don't much like to race on the street, getting more mature (NOT ). I was egged into racing my friends little brother driving a '97 Eddie Baur V8 AWD Explorer and I won even though I had less than half the engine. He got a little jump off the line (AWD vs spinning tires) but my lead kept getting bigger as I rowed through the gears. I was a little worried because we raced from a traffic light going uphill! I thought him having three times the torque might counteract my advantage of weighing half as much. Oh well, it was a planned race on a three lane road with no traffic so I don't feel too bad about breaking my rule. I don't advocate street racing, especially in traffic, but occasionally it can't be avoided so try and have some common sense and be safe!

You dont beat much in a stock civic ex but i relish the few victories i have which include
*riced out saturn (i have yellow racing seats and a tip on my exhaust so my cars fast)
*fake mustang (you know, the ones with that lovely v6 and automatic transmission)
and my favorite---
*porsche boxer (i really dont think it counts as a race but i made it to the next light faster than him):frog:
