get a crate chevy 350 engine. you will kick everyone's asses hardcore. good luck getting it in though. don't know about the transmission. maybe for $1500-$2000 you could pull it off. the engine is only like $600 and you'd be putting out 450 hp. nice! get a roll cage.

get a CRV motor 2.0l...trust me, it's got plenty of torque for the light CX

you'll need a transmission, ecu, linkage, mounts, LS intake manifold (unless you don't have the giraffe CRV intake manifold), etc. to complete the swap.

Hondamotorsonline.com has a special on the crv motors right now for $799 plus shipping, which is damn cheap and it comes a week after your order it, not months like most places.

The money it'll cost for parts, labor and perparing the block for the transfer isn't worth it. For that you could get a whole D16Z6 swap. Besides simply swapping the head from the D16 won't get you the 125 horsies.

Highly depends on the source. You could goto a junkyard and have them overprice you $1500 for engine and tranny or you could get them thru an individual seller for maybe $500-$600 for absolutely everything you'd need for the swap. Hell you might find someone who recently swapped who just wants you to take the damn engine off his property. That's why you need to research and check every source you can think of.
