Exclamation Help needed with a Tamiya kit...

Hi. I need for those of you wo have the new Tamiya Z-Tune R-34 to post complete pictures of the unbuilt kit if possible. I got mine and it only came with one front bumper, the original V-spec bumper. I've gone back and forth with HLJ about the situation and they insist that it only comes with one front bumper. Please help me if you can. I've even sent them pictures from Tamiya's website showing the test shots that clearly show the newer front bumper. Hopefully I'm wrong but if I'm right, they've just lost a very good customer. Thanks for those that can help me. Antonio

There are 2 bumpers in the kit. The original bumper is on the sprue, and the new bumper was packaged in the bag with the body and tires.

Re: Help needed with a Tamiya kit...

Hopefully it does. Thanks Steve. Ardith Carlton is starting to frustrate me with her "kind words" regarding there being only 1 bumper. I'll take my money elsewhere if I need to.

One more in agreement that there is two (2) front bumpers included with the kit and I bought my Z-Tune in person at the HLJ booth at the Atlanta IPMS Nationals this last weekend.

I bought mine from the HLJ booth this weekend too. I purchased it directly from Scott T. Hards.

Hello, Antonio-

Right you are. Our parts department has your order information, so will
be contacting Tamiya despite what I wrote (sorry, must've been rattled
from today's earthquake).

It always helps to have photographic evidence. I had a very badly damaged box/kit arrive from HLJ, I simply took photos of the damage and soon I had a fresh kit on my doorstep. The damaged kit is still salvageable, a few internal parts are messed up but the body/glass amazingly enough survived.

eh, "A picture says more than a thousand word" come to mind. Good that they fixed it and admitted their fault. Not every company who does..
