Question What Header???? B16a into a 91 civic si hatch

Ok this is probably a very simple question for someone out there. I have a 91 civic hatchback with a b16a swap. I need to get a new header. I have Place Racing mounts. Does anyone have this set up and can tell me what car I will need to buy the header for that will fit my hybrid. Can I use a 4-1 or do I have to use a 4-2-1 header? I think I need a header for a 91 integra, but i'm not sure.

thanks

Re: What Header???? B16a into a 91 civic si hatch

hasport makes one built to fit this swap
kinda stinky header but 100% fitment if your very picky.

First if I was you i'd ge an aftermarket X member like jimfab z10 lcon etc

cause you'll have a fitment issue as is on anything other then hasports.

For header setup clearane will be tight to ground often but you're just going to have to deal or have a sheild or custom header made.

What is your budget for a header caues SSMP AN-R would be top of my list.

Re: What Header???? B16a into a 91 civic si hatch

I actually want to spend as little as possible, due to an unnoticed flat tire, i ran over a man hole cover in a neighborhood road that was way to high and so it ripped open a hole in my low hanging header (which was a DC 4-2-1) it also ripped a hole in my oil pan, but that is another story. So i'm just trying to replace what I had for as cheap as possible. I have already had my cat flange rewelded to fit the header I previously had, I just want the same thing again, but I can't remember what car I bought the DC header for so I can buy another one.

place racing mounts = b16 sitting closer to the front than usual. should of went hasport. with the place racing mounts, a 2 piece 4-1 or 4-2-1 will make things a little easier. any b series header will work. b18 header will sit taller.

Re: What Header???? B16a into a 91 civic si hatch

yeah when I did this swap I didn't realize that the Place Racing mounts did that, I was told that they actually set the engine in the factory JDM position. But I guess that is why they are out of business now and I have a cracked mount with nothing I can do about it.
thanks
