Hey I've been looking at car subs, and i would like to know some subs that pound like a mother !@#@# but also are pretty cheap. Or what it is that i should start off with. I have been looking at the RF P1's as well as a couple subs from PYLE and the RF Punch HE. What do you think?

although internet stuff may be better quality in general it doesnt mean that thats the best for someone lookign for somethin loud and cheap.. no offense man i knwo you knoew your stuff but ebays prices are rediculous and the generally expensive mainstream subs are suddenly a lot cheaper than equally as loud non-mainstream products costing more.. those companies mentioned are great but whats your budget..

subs are one place you can get a pretty good deal online .... and I wasn't referring to ebay - it's mostly just businesses selling these days anyway

no i knwo you werent but im just saying that he doesnt have to nix mainstream products because ebay has them very cheap and if hes just looking for loud then its easy to find kicker and audiobahn (erk) subs really cheap

Re: What to buy?
mainstream isnt bad, its just that net brands are generally enthusist / audiophile quality, there going to sound better, and generally be louder, but not insanly so.
mainstream stuff in the right setup can be loud as hell, if your not worried about the sq all that much then Kicker L5 and L7s are good, pioneers arent 2 bad. i would stay away from pyle. the Punch series from RF is good. if your looking for loud the L7s are pretty loud, get the 15" if possible. well thats my

Re: What to buy?
Anything from kicker would be a good bet for loud cheap bass well not cheap depending on the model. I have a friend with a 00 blazer and 12" kicker L7 in a kicker ported box running off of a 1200 watt orion amp. This thing for a 12 pounds to a point of insanity granted you cant really hear the speakers its one of the loudest single 12 setups ive heard in a long time. Another brand that has loud ass subs at decent prices is mtx the 9500 is a little high in price but ive heard these systems get insanly loud. Now one brand that appeals to every one that i completely despise due to the fact that they suck are audiobahn. Dont get me wrong there higher quality stuff is decent but they might put out loud bass but they sound like someone farting in a pvc pipe when they hit. Remeber just cause it hits hard doesnt mean it sounds good, ive seen cars that you can hear froma mile away then they get closer and you can hear the sub distorting or bottoming the coil out and you cant hear any lyrics and then even worst the body panels start to rattle.
heres a link to aoslo baric http://cgi.ebay.com/2000-WATT-KICKER...QQcmdZViewItem i rememebr when these use to got for 400 plus on ebay. Im sure someone on here can find stuff a lot better than this ive kind of leaned away from all this and now i look at the net brands instead.

Cant remember who posted it but if you see it give yourself credit Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota. Cardomain |

Re: What to buy?
i can get a 15" L7 for like 150, know a guy who works at a place. but im saving my money and getting something thats work it, i would suggest you do the same.
if you want somethign now id suggest the kickers, there gonna hit hard as hell, especially if you ahve a good amp,. but you might not like how they sound, so people dont care, others are critical, like me. |
