I am a dumb head
This sounds like a really dumb question but o well. What does a 6-bolt and a 7-bolt etc.? I really feel like I went dumb whenever I read this I just kinda nod my head so hey any help would be great.

I know for a fact that this is either in my FAQ or on 1000AAQ. There is a lot of good info on 1000AAQ. check it out.
6,7 bolt refers to how many bolts hold the flywheel onto the crank. It tells us what generation the motor is... 6 bolt being first and 7 bolt starting late 92/early 93.

There are several differences including crank, pistons rods, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, turbo, head. the 6-bolt doesn't have crankwalk problems which is why people like it so much.

i heard someone here had crank walk on a 6 bolt is that possible
