wiring audio equipment to fuse panel in 98 civic
I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX for which I am installing an FM Modulator for my stereo. I'd like to wire the power to the fuse panel but can't find instructions or diagram anywhere (owner's manual, hayes manual, internet).
I'd prefer not to splice into the power-line for the cigarette lighter, but may have to if I can't figure it out. |

I would tap in there at that location, or at the power leads from the headunit.
They used to make a "terminal" that would hook over one of the leads for the plastic fuse and allow a connection if you can find one, and if you have the larger style plastic fuses. |

They sell those connectors at Fleet Farm for around $1.50 haven't seen them anywhere else though.

Re: wiring audio equipment to fuse panel in 98 civic
tap into the ingition or accesory wire buy your ingnition switch. this is the safest way to do it. according to my sources, the ingnition wire is black with a yellow stripe, and the accesory wire is solid yellow. you can just use a t-tap, available at any radioshack or similar store. just make sure that you fuse the wire if it isn't already. good luck. hope you figure it out.
