gas no go HELP!!!

It all started when I was driving around and I came across a big puddle in the street and people were turning around. I thought the hell with it and drove through it and I noticed that when I made it to the other side that my truck had very slow pick-up. When I got to the stop sign at the end of the street I gave it a little gas and started to let the clutch out my motor tried to die, pushed the clutch to the floor and gave it a little gas and almost died agin. The funny part was when I got it into the higher revs it was fine. Got home left it runing and checked the air filter and it was dry. Shut the truck off and it wont start at all help help help

Re: gas no go HELP!!!

how high was this puddle? could just have water in some of your wire connections, in your plugs, distributor cap and/or water in your fuel. undo connections and let them dry while you check and dry inside of cap. undo plug wires and let dry out.

Talking Re: gas no go HELP!!!

The puddle was about A foot high and maby 15, 20 foot long, and I hit the water at about 25, 30 mph. My father told me to do the same thing and now it starts and runs fine. Thanks for your help.

now that its been wet you may get corrosion, so it may start to not run correctly after a while

pull all the plugs and crank the engine for several rotations. Clean the plugs up and see if it will start.
