I'm currently having some troubles with my 98 Golf GTI 2.0 and was wondering if anyone has had the same problem?
My car is making an unusual and loud noise, like a clack, clack, noise everytime the car is driving. As you slow down the noise slows down and vice versa. I have no problems getting into my gears and when the car is on, but not moving, there is no sound; even when I rep it up in neutral there is no sound, it's only when the car is in motion. What could this be? CV Joints gone bad normally make a sound when car is turning, but this noise is constant, not just when it turns. Any help would be appreciated, I'm not to knowledgable with cars... |

Could be the cv joints. Also can be the diferential ( sounds more like the differential) which would mean time to replace the transmission.
