left front while sitting in vehicle?
this could be ???
does it sound like exhaust pipe rattle? driver's side is transmission, and exhaust; or is it more of rattle from say body/chassis noise?

if manual, could be clutch throw-out bearing and/or fork rattle as well...
if you could isolate the noise;
take a wooden dowel, broomstick, etc. and put your ear on one end, and "listen" (touch the other end of the wooden instrument) up against different items in the engine bay:
alternator, side of motor, inner fender well, tail pipe, etc...
the "rattle" noise will definitely change when you've found the component making the noise; by re-posting,
people can better assist you in your diagnosis of the problem and its corrective measure.

hope this helps,
ctesla
