civics been pulled off the road

well... it happened... cops took my plates

i was on my way to Darknights Nationals out here in Markham Ontario, (like a 2 hour drive doing the speed limit) so yea, i made it there in 45 mins, thought all was good, then i come upto a road block 5 mins from the show and see all these modified cars pulled over, and yea, they pull me over too, i get a 365 dollar fine for no cat, and they pull my car off the road because its "too low and rubbing" altho it wasnt, and the fact i had bald tires on it too. so they took my plates, red-flagged my car as being un-fit and yea, now i have no civic to drive right now, but i did manage to get it home, (woulda cost like 600 bucks to tow it so i told the cop to go fuck himself) and called my parents and they brought a dolly for me to tow me home, so now i have to get my car re- emissions tested, re- saftied and shit, so i said fuck that, found a 4g4d for sale for 500 bucks, passed safety and e-test, needs a timing belt, so if he still has it, its mine and i'll be swapping everything over

oh yea, does the rear disc swap still work with the 4g4d??
he also said it has power windows, power locks, sunroof A/C and 5spd but we all know, the a/c wont be stayin hehehe

but i'll be swapping everything from the hatch over to the 4 door, so ZC swap, gauges, seats, harnesses, exhaust (with a hollow cat) lol suspension, its gonna be sweet, rollin in a hammered 4g4d

Re: civics been pulled off the road

Damn... too bad about the Civic. I guess its days really were numbered. You probably should've guessed that there would be police near a big car event though. But at least you didn't have to pay for towing. Did you really tow the car or did you like leave the area and then hop in and drive it with your parents following you closely to hide your lack of tag? People do shit like that around here all the time...

Re: civics been pulled off the road

That's messed up. You can claim it was entrapment, or something like that. Get a lawyer, and sue the police department.

well i did have to pay for the tow to the impound and the impound fees, but yea we towed it all the way home, took us about an hour and 1/2 - 2 hours to get it on the dolly, only problem with being lowered 4 inches haha

but yea, just called about the 4g4d and its sold but i'm still lookin

Re: civics been pulled off the road

hows it look like a death trap? everything on it was mechanically sound, so what the body was bad? i've seen much worse cars.

and just wait till u see the 4-door when i get it, lookin at a different one now, me and a buddy might be going 1/2 and 1/2 for it i have some big plans for the day i get it hehe

Re: civics been pulled off the road

In here is all different for all parts that are on car we must have TUV that is like your SAE or DOT if the part doesnt have that you get pulled over get ticket around 500$ (avarage monthlly paycheck is around 600$) and your plates are going off and then you must do the test (to check your cars safety and that it's all legit)...we have that test once a year and you must pass it if you want to drive on the road....
And for desert anything that is homemade can't be legit or if there is a way it's about 200$ for each part to get RTI the same as TUV just that it's only valid for Slovenia...in here laws are fucked as they can be...and cause the illegal drag scene was growing so quick they had (cops) couple of actions and got lots of licence plats off of the great cars...lucklly I wasn't among them...So it's a shitty thing living here and tuning car especially for us that wan't custom job on the car...
And the parts that needs to be legite are all the parts that are not orginally on the car, they especially look for tires and rims in the cars prosepect it says civic has on 185/60/14 and that is the dimension you must have on, or if you get the rims that are supose to be on that car like 15" or 16" and then you get papers for them and must sign that in a cars book that you can have those rims and tires on....I tell you really fucked up scene...Luck me I have some conections in the police and that is why my car is still driving on the road but I'll have to make it legite soon :0(

I hope you understand that you don't have souch a shitty laws about cars...oh yeah and in here you can't just swap the engine from car to car it all had to be legit (and the biggest engine you can put in is from the same model and the same brand as yours just the strongest engine...so no H22 in civic and no B18 in civic...stupid laws...strongest engine in civic would then be B16 that you can make it legite)

I hope I didn't scare you to much but that's the way here is ... SUCKS !

Re: civics been pulled off the road

DO NOT DO THE 1/2 and 1/2 THING!!!!

That's a really good way to ruin friendships. Just save up and buy the car by yourself.
