Yeah, I got one of those kits over a year ago for my short bed 2500HD. Never had a problem. Friend of mine bought one too for a '01 1500 short bed. He posted pictures on the site of our trucks.
I bought & installed another one last week on my new '04 3500 long bed. I just sent the dude some pics of the 3500, I'll post a link when he lets me know they are uploaded. Real high quality stuff nobody has ever seen around here. Those Northern kits are junk compared to this, no wonder they're so cheap.
