Completed: Tamiya Impreza WRX/WRC

I made this model with the left over pieces from my Possum Bourne Group N build - notably the WRC body and STi interior/chassis. I did not spend a great deal of time getting the body fitment spot on - this was more an exercise in painting techniques for myself. Paint is Tamiya light gun metal and orange. Interior is a gloss orange / flat yellow mix. Wheels are Fujimi Veilside Andrew Racing Dish. A few decals to give it the 'custom' look

Grant

Not sure the interior orange matches the exterior orange...it certainly is an interesting build though!

Very nice car and a good paintjob, I like the orange paint on the body.
One thing, when you lower the car it looks even better I think.

I don't really like the color combo, but it's a clean car over all! Nice job!

Hi guys - thanks for the feedback. I suppose that this build really suffers from a lack of effort on my part - it was really a case of 'well, I have some spare bits, let's try something different'. I should have spent more time lowering the car properly - at them moment the shell sits on the top of the suspension mounts.

Blubaja - the dash is the leftover from the rally build I did earlier. I used the RHD STi dash for the Gp N rally car, so I had the LHD rally dash spare. Only had to cut off the lower section with all the switches, otherwise it fit fine. Anyway, I though it would fit with the 'California Custom' look of the car - whatever that is

Cheers,
Grant.
