Completed: Tamiya Honda Ballade Sports Mugen CRX Pro
A few photos of this little model - which officially has the longest name of any models in my collection! A great little kit it is too. Perfectly formed, great fitment, looks great when completed. Exterior paint is a Halfords VW automotive paint - can't remember the name just now. Interior is a custom mix of gloss orange and flat yellow. Wheels are Fujimi Buddy Club P1 Racing, modified to suit female type hubs. Hope you like.

Thanks for all the positive comments. To answer a few questions:
- the colour is a Halfords automotive paint. I think it is VW Sun Yellow, or something similar (even though it is called yellow, the tin looks gold as does the paint). Halfords is a UK chain of auto stores, so it may be hard to get the paint elsewhere. - the tail lights were done with standard clear orange and clear red, with semi-gloss black. All painted on the inside and with a great deal of patience. It is exactly as called out in the instructions - the rear fenders / wheel arches are standard. There were no body mods at all. I think this is a great looking, aggressive car perfectly done by Tamiya. I would highly recommed this kit to anyone. Basic, but looks awesome completed. Cheers, Grant. |
