Nav cd for new touchscreen

I heard there is a 4.1 version out there but the dealer doesn't seem to know anything about it. The dealer also told me the 3.0 version is the newest they have for the 03-05 navigations.

3.0 Navigation Disc part # 10390370

www.gmpartsdirect.com has the 4.1 disc cheaper than the 3.0 version. $149.00 for the 4.1 vs. $201.59 for the 3.0. I currently have both versions and the 4.1 is causing a constant "disc error" message everytime I start the vehicle or insert the disc. It only works 10% of the time. The 3.0 works perfectly with no errors.

4.1? What happened to 4.0? I mean, a .1 release usually implies that there was a .0 release prior to it, no?

Is there much improvement with the 4.1 version. Is it faster, more streets listed, better graphics??? Hopefully there have been improvements.

On my wifes BMW they made sme pretty good improvements with each release. 1st release negated the welcome screen each time your started the car. 2nd release changed to split screen and more colors. 3rd release Nav speed became faster.... Hopefully we'll se this with the GM Nav.

I did not notice a difference between the two versions other than the problems I experienced with the 4.1 version. The guidance voice sounds different though on the 4.1.
