detent cable AKA kickdown cable HELP!!!!

i have a 1987 GT black fiero V6 and i need a new detent cable AKA kickdown cable and i cant find one at all if anyone knows where to get one for my type of car can u send me a link to a site besides rockauto.com becuz they dont have anymore i tried and the called me to tell me they arent gonna have more in stock so if anyone has any ideas and i was wondering if a universal detent cable will work plz plz plz help...thx anything will help me..

try napa they can usually get some of these out of date cables if not try kickhill fiero he usually a good sellection of cables and things that are in good shape, along with just about anything else you may need.
but i would think that any cable for any front wheel drive gm 2.8 v6 of the same year should work. they are very similar at the very least.
you can also try your local gm dealer for substitutions. if they have something else that may be a little longer that may work to.
