Exclamation 92 Regal - idles - kills on throttle and when put in gear

My 92 Buick Regal grand sport sedan with the 3800 is doing something that I can not remedy. Here is the problem:

Upon startup, she seems a little rough on the idle. When I give it gas or put it in gear, she just sputters out, and sometimes I get a backfire kind of pop from under the hood. It seems to come from the intake pipe, as when I removed the air filter, it seemed to run better, but, the pop got much louder, and she still kills immediately when I give it gas for put it in gear.

Now, I do not know if this is related, but, last week, the vacuum line came off of my brake booster, which made the car run like crap all of the time, but I could drive it, but the brakes were almost nothing. I put the hose back on, and nothing wrong, and the hose is still on with the current problem?

I do not know how to check the codes on the Regal, so, any help on what is causing this problem is appreciated. Thanks!

-Daniel
