ravin exhaust legal question

i am getting a ravin z55 in the next week for my 1996 blazer 4.3 and i was wondering if it is going to be too loud i really dont want to get pulled over and have to take it off so if any one has a ravin and can account for how loud it is and if it is always loud can i just coast by cops or is it not that loud

Alright so I want to go with a Ravin, I want to go loud and have it sound good too. So would I go with the 55 or the 33? I also want to run duals out of the muffler, anyone got a part number for me?

BlazerLT, how is your exhaust coming out, single or dual? I found a custom exhaust guy that will let me bring a muffler in and they will do all the pipe bending and throw in two chrome tips for $150 plus the cost of the muffler that I am going to get from a Ravin dealer or Midas.

So what do I do I am so torn! And one question guys and gals, if I was not able to get a Ravin, what would my next best choice be? I don't want a rice burner sound or a tinny sound. I want the deepest loudest tone that our 4.3's can put out!

Thanks everyone

Re: ravin exhaust legal question

FloPro 750's what's on mine. Never heard a Ravin, but compared to the Flowmaster - muuuuch better. And the insides do not rot out in a year.

They also flow both ways, just in case you're running some wild custom pipes. However, a stock 2.25" inlet and outlet diameter with one of them offset is all you will need. Mine cost me $75, installed. Now with a year on it, it is still shiny and new looking too, no change in tone.
