If you want to know how fast the spec v is, Take a look at my victums.
I have a 2002 red specv.
2005 nissan maximum at 265 hp.
2004 acura TL
200hp Honda accord ex
2003 Voltswagan gti
2002 Toyota celica gts
2000 Mustang gt V-8
All trucks and Suvs
BMW 535 and 325i
Honda eater
Mitsubishi eclipse gt 2001 and 2003

Loses(not many)
Close race to a SRT 4(til is supercharger kiked in)
Close highway race to an ACura NSX
Mercadesbenz tie I think it was a 5 series( Good driver)
Fastest I've been in 5th gear 135mph.
Never enough room for 6th.
quarter mile times in the high 14s.
Mods; only cold air intake, K&N air filter, and a small supercharcher.
Would never trade it.

no way, no way in hell. how did you have a clsoe highway battle with an NSX? was he even racing? and that mustang shouldve raped you. i dont mean to dog sentras, i love them over more powerful cars due to their light weight and go-kart handling, but they are not that fast. people who buy sentras shouldnt expect to go real fast. learn to have fun with them just by driving them and throwing them aroudn corners. thats what the sentra, is all about.

You did not beat alot of those cars. Sentras are almost as slow as my car. My dads damn car cant even touch those cars. Actually the only people on my street that could are a Carrera and a Firebird. High 14's? Most of the cars listed run better than that. And they have a shitload more torque then your car..... Fucking BS.

the mustang isnt hard to believe, i just took out a gt earlier tonight, the nsx, bmw 5 series and mercedes are all jokes though.....you didnt beat the srt4 until its turbo kicked in, you beat it until he got traction.....lol i beat them all the time to 3rd gear then they pass me like im standing still, the sentra wont go any faster than 140 with those mods so how did you do 135 in 5th? btw superchargers arent out for the spec yet, but revolution autoworks is fabricating one......

oh and alpha, high 14's is VERY possible, i do 15.1 with just a cold air intake, its insulting to say a sentra is almost as slow as a honda, please refrain from associating our cars with your garbage

Alpha didn't say the Sentra wasn't doing 14's. He just said a lot of the cars listed run much faster. And BS on beating that Stang GT. A high-14 second car cannot beat a car that runs a 14.2 unless the driver wasn't even trying. By the time both cars reach 100mph, the GT would be nearly 7 carlengths ahead. I'm sure the car you beat was either a V6, a 1998 or earlier model, or you just thought you beat a GT.

And as far as the NSX remarks, there's no way a little 175hp bean-shaped car is gonna come close to a 290hp Honda with a 176mph top-speed. Especially on the HIGHWAY!! But then again, it's probably always/only a "close race" when he loses.

I have a 1990 Maxima SE 5-spd with only an intake and lost by LESS THAN 2 CARLENGTHS(at 75mph) to an 02-03 Spec-V(with exhaust and whatever else) from a stop. So you're telling me that I could probably tie with a 2000 GT V8 with my old 160hp Max?

Not to mention things like:
"Nissan Maximum"
"Voltswagan"
"Mercadesbenz"
and the fact that superchargers don't "kik in"(not on any factory supercharged cars at least), althought the SRT-4 is turbo'd anyway.

This whole thing reeks of BS and I hope nobody looking for real info about Sentra takes it seriously.

I got a thumbs up from the 2004 maximum driver after i passed him.
Not all of these races are from zero.I'm not stupid. Most of these cars
do post a quicker quarter time but your average driver cannot drive.
I am by far not your average driver. I can get every pound of torque from my car that it is capable of at all times(its not always the car dude)
I out drove the srt 4 through mild traffic. The benz driver out drove me
he is the only one. The NSX driver pulled away only after 110mph.
Again Im not stupid. The stang driver was into it at about 40mph and coudnt do s..t. You just don't know how to drive if you can' hang.

faster quarter mile times. Those times are done by professional drivers not the general public. Again
the only race from zero was the srt4. Oh and by the
way, Every time the 05 265hp maxima puched it on the highway at about 80-90mph I put it in 4th gear
to about 110mph and always passed him. three times. Just because you don't know how to drive your sentra, don't hate...

My 1987 supra turbo embarassed a pretty red 2000
stangk gt from 80mph to 130mph. my 87 turbo does not accerate as quick as the specv sorry. Ive been driving longer than most of you. I have owned a nissan max rated at 200hp. I raced a guy in a 2002 max 222hp in vegas from zero and he stuck around til 4th gear when I easily started to pull away and slowed down because I thought he gave up. In 5th gear at 120mph I pulled away from an Acura legend. I smoked a mazda rx-7 gxl 1987-88-89. I had more trouble from 2003 and up celicas than any honda. "I DON"T DRAG these CARS".
I got blasted by a stang gt with mods from the light. Learn your car. And how to drive before you post.

Guess what there genious, beating someone that can't drive isn't a kill. That's like saying my 1.6 killed a Ferrari because the other driver stalled his car 5 times. And you know how to drive your sentra so much better than the rest of us, huh? Guess what the most important part of racing is??? The launch. Anyone can redline their gears, but maybe the other people weren't, because had the brains to know that it was just some punk in a sentra and to not kill their car. Had the NSX tried, he would have murdered you. A 265HP Maxima with any competant driver would kill you. Guess what, the SPEC-V has some of the most overrated HP and TQ numbers on any car. It may have 175 at the crank, but at the wheels its only around 130-140HP. you say you have a"smallsupercharger" I would love to see some pics of this, or like to know what brand it is, if you did custom fit it yourself...

And another thing, there is no reason for a 222HP Maxima to lose to your older/less HP Maxima when you guys were neck and neck, unless he shifted early into 5th.

Watch the hostility, guys... We're here to talk about our cars and honor them, not bash them. Maybe he can't beat the cars he says he can, who knows... but lets not trash the spec v's, hondas, or stangs.

there's no trashing going on at all except the bashing of the initial poster. Driver error does not make as big a difference as he says. And although Stang GTs might not be very reliable or well-built, they're still frikkin fast.

And if it's the fact that you're some fantastical driver beating all these high-end cars, that's what you should've titled the thread.

"Hey guys! I'm a freakin awesome driver! Check out Ma Skillz", instead of implying that the Spec is faster than the cars listed.
