Transmission whine

Yesterday when I came home from the store I noticed a trail of fluid coming up the driveway leading up to the car. I started the car and transmission fluid was spraying out, so I replaced the black rubber line that broke and replaced the fluid. Now the transmission whines when I accelerate and it is shifting hard. The fluid level looks good. It did not do this before. Any suggestions?

Did you check the fluid level while at idle?
