1989 olds 98 bumper removal & replacement

can someone please help me! i am trying to replace my bumper on my 1989 0lds98. i would also like to replace the grill. i am a do it yourselfer but i am stumped pleas help!

Taking off bumpers are easy. They are held on by 8 14mm bolts ( i think they're 14mm). You are going to have to get under your car, remove the 10mm bolts holding the plastic splash gaurd on (just the ones attached to the bumper). Then, reach behind the bumper and loosen the bolts. it is easier to remove the bumper from the mounts than removing the mounts from the car, btw.

Just remember to unscrew your running lights from the bumper before you remove it. Also, the older cars had all-metal bumpers and they are heavy, so dont overdo yourself.

Grilles are easy too. You will need a T-15 Torx screwdriver or socket to remove the 4 star-headed screws holding it in place. Easy.
