Windshield sounds like bugs hitting....

Check this first


On both sides or your cowl where your bottom of the windshield meets the hood one each corner there is a removable piece of the cowl about 4" long check to see if they are loose or watch them while driving see if they move. When I replaced windshields this was very common with chevy trucks and tahoes

No bugs but noise, perhaps invisible bugs?

I had this same problem shortly after I bought my '04 Tahoe. At freeway speeds it sounded like you were driving thru bug cloud but there wasn't any.

I diagnosed this to be loose windshield seal strips and was also correct. I took it to the dealer and they said they need to glue the strips down, which was done. That completely fixed the problem.

It is not the removable plastic parts that can be taken off at lower corners. Loose vertical seal strips it is...
