Question 99 taurus 3.0 tranny problem

slow downshifting and hard shifting under hard acceleration , when i turn a corner and tranny downshifts and i hit gas tranny will re engauge and the tires will chrip and if i hard accelerate the tranny will shift sloppy and hard , i bought this car from a hasidiac jew and i think the tranny fluid was never changed fluid smells nasty not to dark tho , no leaks car has 130k on it any thoughts ty

Have the fluid and filter changed first and see if that helps.

Change fluid and filter first like he said, but I'm afraid it sounds like the forward clutch piston is going...they were made of aluminum and are bad about cracking. Best thing to do is to have a shop rebuild the whole thing and replace the piston with a steel one.
