Of course!! It was like $30 or something.
Problem is....I think I need another one.

Next sunday I am tearing the stock LS1 completely down, and hopefully I can start installing parts onto my new block. Oilpan, sensors, and the like.

Re: Whoops.....

Hah hah, yeah. Mine was about that price too. I was up at Pep Boys yesterday and saw they had a clearence for cherry pickers. Only $60. I'm eventually going to need one, but kind of don't wanna spend the cash for it right now. And the one I saw at Harbor Freight was about $80. So, kind of debating about that.

Good luck with the tear down. Gonna be some fun for ya right there. When I tore down my other engine I bought, a freakin cylinder head screw broke off in the block. Man did that piss me off.

Re: Whoops.....

Yeah, that would ruin a day.

So far, I have not had any problems with bolts. Probably because the car only has 29,000 miles.

Wow, I missed my opportunity for a trade-in

Luos walks out to his front yard, remembering that he left his Ram Air hood on the lawn and spies not his hood but a stock maroon firebird hood.

Next Day: Fellow AF'ers in the area read in the local papers of some poor kid getting kneecapped, tied to his V6 engine block and then dropped off the edge of a cliff into shark infested waters.

On the high side, it looks like you're making excellent progress. Hopefully my car will last me a good bit longer, the V6 has hit just a little over the 100k mark, but the auto tranny is just crap. I'm thinking of tracking down a V6 Manual in the area and try and get a trade in for mine (Why no V8? Insurance $$$). I want to participate in Auto-X and some other SCCA stuff in the area to boot, so the auto-tranny wouldn't take the abuse too kindly.

Re: Whoops.....

I had a friend here helping me with a non-WS.6 black Trans Am. He joked about stealing it as well.

Well, I'm glad I wasn't the only person thinking about that. I won't do anything along the lines of installing a Ram Air hood until I actually turbo charge my car, but I need to figure up the final designs for the setup before I commit to that install. I don't want to order a setup from somebody just due to the fact that I don't exactly like the style of some of the V6 Turbo kits for the F-Bodies. It'll give something for my dad and I to finally work on as well as get me prepped for the final crunch of my mechanical engineering degree
