Re: hay all

hay trust me I have been looking all over it is not like they are all over the place.
I would buy on the internet but the always seem to be in like new york or somewhere like that so getting a dsm turbo is almost out of the qestion
so do you think it is a good set or not?

If you want a turbo dsm bad enough, you will go to any length to find one. I searched for months for a gsx down here in Florida, and had no luck. So, I ended up finding one in Illinois, and had it shipped down here on a monday, and had it that thursday night, for $600! Check in your yellow book for local car shippers, so you could search outside your general area.

Ya, I guess I got lucky and got it from a private dealer I found on autotrader.com. He specialized in rare and exotic cars. http://www.exotic-motors.com/ is his website. He hasn't had any gsx's since mine, but maybe you could talk to him for him to maybe find one for you.

I am in the same deal as you are with my friend. I have been helping him look for a 1g turbo. If you want one bad enough, you will look thoroughly for or wait for one. Check these sites:
www.ebay.com
www.dsmtraders.com
www.dsmtuners.com
www.autotrader.com
www.cars.com
www.carsoup.com (might work or not depending on your location)
Combined theres probably a good couple thousand ads for you to look through. Yeah it gets boring, but I have picked through every page of dsms on each of those websites everyday for a couple weeks, and its finally paying off. We found a car today that is perfect for us (1991 TSI AWD, 5 spd, 100k, needs minor work). The funny thing is we saw the ad like an hour after it was listed and emailed him right away. In return for countless hours of looking through internet classifieds, we are getting a great deal on an awesome car. I agree with JoeWagon on the turboing a N/T car... just buy one with a turbo already, its much easier and cost effective. Good luck, I hope you find what you are looking for.

A decent turbo kit will cost more than $500-600. You will need atleast $1,000 if you find all the parts yourself, and that cost dosn't include the countless house it will take to put everything together and fabricate. If you buy a decent kit alread put together for you, they cost as much as $3,000.

It might be beneficial for you to read this thread.....

No

Those are only the general parts that a turbo car would require. i.e. turbo, intercooler.

None of the custom fabrication shit is included with that package. That is what you need.

Look at this and compare to your shitty ebay package.

Re: hay all

What part of Utah are you in. I'm in Boise Idaho. I know where there is a 1g AWD Turbo Laser and a 1g AWD Turbo Talon for sell here in town. I believe I saw 1g Turbo eclipse here as well.

That kit looks kinda shitty, i would go with a turbo car to start, just a few things that kit doesn't include: oil lines, intercooler piping, intake, or exhaust, you'd also problably need some type of fuel management, i know greddy's kit omes with an e-manage. Just get a turbo car.

Re: hay all

Ahhh....good old SSAutoCrap.

I wouldn't buy a lightbulb from those fuckers. Stay away from them, they sell nothing but junk. Their turbos split right down the center of the housing and their tubular manafolds fall apart in a matter of weeks.

But, then again, it's your money. I just wanted to let you know what I had heard.....I think it's all over on tooners.
