viper alarm for my 2000 integra is not responding

I first noticed the system was not working last february when i came outside at 5 in the morning after playing poker all night. I pressed the button and the green light blinked but my car did not beep back and the doors did not unlock. So i manually unlocked the door and in the process woke up the whole neighborhood. I unplugged the wire connected to the alarm box under the steering wheel but that didnt help. I figured that my reciever in the car was not working because of the ice. Also the next day i came back when it was warmer and tried the button again and it worked, ithink the wires were not even connected. But since that day the alarm has not been working. I plugged the wires back in to the box under the steering wheel yesterday but still no response. Please if you can help i would really appreciate it.
