Hesitates to start...

I have a 97 SE Grand Prix with 112k miles on it.
Usually my car will start right up when I turn the key, recently though, when I get off work and try and start it, the car dosn't want to kick over right away, it just turns for a bit then finally kicks over. This generally dosnt happen often, but when it does, it seems to be after I have left the car sit for a few hours. I assume this is an early indication of a later problem, only I dont know what that may be. Any ideas?

Any feedback greatly appreciated,
JP

The problem may be with the fuel pressure regulator leaking down. Happens when the FPR has a lot of miles on it. I would replace it and see what happens. Also if you have not done so recently you may want to replace wires and plugs just so you are getting the optimum amount of spark to the engine.

Fuel Press. Reg, cool. I'll give her a shot and see if that works.
Thanks for the help Dad!
