Can anyone tell me more about the message center phantom beep?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about it. Also, if you take it to your dealer they'll look at you funny and say "we can not duplicate the problem". Well, no crap Sherlock! I get mine from time to time and if you are lucky you'll be looking at the message center when it goes off. I've only caught mine once and it was a transmission error code. However, it drives fine.

Some folks on LincolnvsCadillac.com have said they got the beep and saw a "trunk ajar" error. Good luck finding it!

This has been discussed here before and there was many ideas on what it was. The wifes '01 does it.
