Best exhaust

In theory, what would be the better aftermarket exhaust sys. to put on a 98 GT 3800 series 2 engine........I mean the best performance with gains and richest tone?

mufflers wont boost performance on a gt, and buying a cat back system will only give a little gain with a nice sound...most owners go with a borla cat back system or slp....your better off removing the ubend and saving 800 bucks imo..but you want the sound obviously so go with one of those...................or you could just spend a few hundred and buy new mufflers for a deep sound

Re: Best exhaust

Someone from this forum posted a link to a website that allows you to hear the sounds of each of the popular GP exhaust systems. It was up a while ago, and I'm sorta kicking myself for deleting it. Maybe someone here still has it...

Re: Best exhaust

i have a 98 grand prix gt and i heard this video

Chris Malfer's '98 GT with a CompCam, 2.5" pipe and Hooker MaxFlow mufflers
Chris' exhaust with a comp cam, 2.5" pipe, no cat, ubend or resonator. This one is a video, so it's a nice change from the ordinary!
GT Exhaust.avi An .avi file of Chris' car. (5,253KB) (Added 5/26/04)

what is a Comp cam?

Re: Best exhaust

Comp Cams is a camshaft manufacturer. It’s just the company name.
