A/C is die {no cool air comes out}

I was wonder what are most problems with A/C on 1998 Dodge Caravan because I have same may go and my ones out and I want to fix it my self becuase i got my old cavalier a/c fix by some shop and it broke the whole car{the engine got screwed badly ....traded it in}.....does anyone have ideas to fix the A/C by my sellf or with friends

You'll need to start by checking a few things... Does the compressor kick on? What are the levels on the high and low sides? That will tell you a lot of what's wrong. Could just be low on 134, could have a clog (like I appear to - 93 T&C), could be a lot of things.

Post your findings and we'll take the next step.

I check the compressor and it kicks in and I just had the coolant refilled{R134 freon}. The A/C only out puts what the heater core is... if its cold(heater core) it will out put cold, if its warm or hot then the air coming out is hot or warm. I looked at the engine well it was on and it all looks OK but what could it be.......does anyone now how to get more power out of van for not much money[less is better]

It almost sounds like your temp control is not working. Does the car get VERY hot when driving? If you adjust the temp control does the temp change at all (hotter or colder)?

My temp control is working fine because when I put it to hot it gives out hot air......the heater part still but not the cooling side of things

Sounds like a blend door not closing off the heat from the heater core.They break sometimes and are plastic.

Can anyone tell me how to fix that blend door that doesn't closing off the heat from the heater core, Will i need to buy part or anything , if i do how much would it could about and where do u think i coul;d get this parts.........
