Re: carb problem

Which Rochester? Q-Jet? Did you replace the float? Is the throttle shaft sloppy?

Re: carb problem

So many things can be causeing this problem, before you take apart your carb, make sure you not leaking any air from anyplace, make sure the gasket under your carb is not sucking air under it, but don't over tighten the bolts, they will strip, try getting a good thick gasket for the carb to intake seal.

As I said so many things can be wrong, from bad floats to a stuck choke..

You best bet is to buy a book on your carb at your local auto parts store, you can learn your carb and help others, and maybe make some money rebuilding them.

So may Carb shops have gone under, it's to bad, so many people need carb help.

I have a 650 EDL. that I opened up and polished it, I have the rebuild kit, and plan to take pictures and put it on my web page.

Smile Re: carb problem

Take Your Quadrabogger And Use It For Target Practice . Go Buy A New Holley Or Edle Brock. No Quicker , Easier Fix Than A New Carb, Plus Their A Whole Lot Easier To Tune. Look Good Last Long Time.
