Question 540i Back Driver's Side Window (1998)

My window seems off track, but I'm wondering from a blurb I read if it might be disengaged or fuse problem. All the other windows work fine; however this window won't go up or down. I can hear the moter so I know it works. If I hit a bump the window falls slightly about an inch. Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem may be.

Order the part and do it yourself and save $150+

Very easy to change.

I just got my window fixed. As a matter of fact, it was the exact same window and problem. However, don't continue trying to raise or lower window. Don't want to burn motor. Purchased a used regulator on-line w warranty -very abundant- and had a foreign car specialist repair shop install. End result: 175 bucks for part and installation in comparison to the dealer-$395.
