metra turbo kit bracket for 7th Gen

well im new to head unit installations and even worse..galants.so ive been trying to connect a 2-step head unit into my car.the easy part is removing the dash parts like first taking off the dash part of the shifter.then the entire part above it like the headunits part.A/C controls.etc.then some screws here n there yadda yadda.but then i got the metra turbo kit to make the more secure bracket to hold the head unit in.n the instructions are really brief.its like "cut and remove this and this and that" and its all suppose to be a 30min. breeze.but im sweating for 90mins.so please anyone,anybody whos done it before,or knows what to do,a website with healthy details how to,anything...thanks.
