Faster car

I have a 93 vw golf gl and i was woundering what i can do to the engine to make it faster.Ive already got the chip and shorty shiffter,cold air intake from neuspeed. What else can i do to the engine that doesnt involve a supercharger..lol..Thanks

that there is hte million dollar question..you guys really need to search the forums first, you have no idea how many people ask this question. Adding an intake doesn't really make your car faster....it just sets you up for later applications. If you're looking for instant results, just reduce the weight of your vehicle:

Remove your speaker box/amp if you have one
Remove the spare tire, though i wouldn't recommend it...
Remove the back seats.
Remove jack.

For small power gains/ setting your car for future stuff:

Headers (easy, this is a gimme)
With the headers, buy an aftermarket catback exhaust to help exhaust end (pacesetter has a cheap cb exhaust)
Install a lightened flywheel, lets you rev up quicker, plus they weigh alot less.

Use common sense....

the flywheel also frees up some whp, with less weight it takes less hp to turn, more hp gets to the wheels, you go faster
