Angry bad belt problems

yeah i know theres the skicyed post about belts but i cant get mine back on its a 97 2.2 w/o the tensior that is the idler=tensioner and i can get it around everything but alternator then i push down on the thensior and it seems to be tightening the belt and i need a diagram that shows the belt routing for a 97 2.2 w/o tensioner and w/ ac. im going friggin crazy tryin to get this piece back together..... any helpful replies would be great asap

Re: bad belt problems

The backside of the belt goes around the smooth side of the pulleys and the grooved side goes on the grooved pulleys. Make sure you have the correct replacement belt.
