*WIP* Bobby Hamilton's 2000 #4 Kodak Chevy

back to nascar models for a while! lol..

this is going to be Bobby Hamilton's 2000 Kodak Monte Carlo. not a car that is built very often....

so far i made a new spoiler. from 0.5mm sheet styrene

then i cleaned up the firewall. removing that molded on coil. and filling in the seams, also added some additional stiffening bars. and made new bars for the drivers side above the side window. and the bar for the a-pillar, and also added additional rollbars in the interior.

i also scratch built all the front rollbars in the engine compartment. you can see the kit ones in the pic

and then i cut the radiator supports from the kit bars, and used them on mine. you can see all thats left of those kits bars in the first pic.

more progress , this time on the engine, i made brackets for the alternator and power steering .

here i added the last support bars on the front .

and here it is in primer! once it dries i can spray it light grey

And you're off again... Another great build in the making. Your display shelf must be under strain by now with the amount of models you have completed in so many months.. Keep it up, some great work..!!

Looking good! I wish my chassis and rollcage was as nice as yours! It is nice to see another WIP for a Nascar. Amazing machines they are. Looking forward to seeing more work.

got a bit more done.

i got the chassis painted light grey!.

and here is the body prep. and since I'm making this a Road Course car , the fuel filler has to be moved the other side of the body.

and also i filled in the injector pin marks under the hood, and added the hinge brackets

and i thinned down all the wheel openings
