I have a 1997 z28 which I purchased on May 21, 2005. I have not made any modifications to it so I assume its all stock at this point. The car is difficult to start and once started will hardly run. It stalls easily upon acceleration. The ECM/PCM codes are indicating "slow response" from the O2 sensors (Bank 1 sensor 1 & Bank 2 sensor 1.) Also I am getting PO171 and 174 indicating that the system is too lean and Incorrect purge flow (PO441). I have so many questions but if someone could start by telling me what all this means I would deeply appreciate it. Obviously I am not a mechanic but I want to know what is wrong so I can see if it is something easy we can fix at home or if I should take it to the Chevy dealer and let them throw parts at it! I do know the basics of the internal combustion engine: air + fuel + ignition = GO! However, I am beginning to think that an illuminated MIL is going to be a permanent resident of my dashboard! PLEASE HELP!

Re: My Camaro stalls.....Help!
Just a guess, but I would think the incorrect purge would the source problem (stuck system?) and the o2 readings @ lean are an effect.
