95 cavalier looses power

Having a problem with my 95 manual Cavalier where I feel a drop in power, a slight hestiation for a split second then the car kicks in again. On acceleration you can actually feel it lunge a little. With that said, it doesn't happen strictly on acceleration -- it's also happened when going at a steady clip on the highway at 45. Sometimes it will happen just once. Other times it will happen a few times in a row then seem to correct itself.

I noticed it most often at forty miles per hour and above, but just of late noticed it in lower gears as well.

Any ideas?

Re: 95 cavalier looses power

Perhaps your transmission/clutch is beginning to slip. That or you have impurities in your gas tank. Get some fuel injector cleaner & high octane gas. See if that makes a difference & report back here.
