S2K= Honda S 'Tune'thousand

Tamiya white version that comes with the mugen wheels and top.

Will tune this one out also. But will try to keep it a 'classy' tuner. After all this IS an S2K. Plans:

Full custom body kit from tamiya epoxy
Aoshima 19's (not sure which ones) with brembos'
Semi-conservative tuner decals
Gt-wing
FMIC
custom dual exhaust
Tach
A-pillar gauges/pods
Dash TV
Nos bottle
Photo etch racing pedals
Racing harness
2-tone interior

here's all I have so far. Just the body kit done

Side skirts.

Front lip

Rear taken from the custom revell thunderbird rear end dremeled and epoxy modified to fit

With first coat of primer to see where defects are

Well, I'm enjoying this quick dry epoxy more and more every time I use it....it's so simple

I reckon! At first I thought it was a resin kit. There must have been alot of filing and sanding.

That is amazing. You should do a puttying tutorial i think. It looks perfect.

How did you make that body kit with Tamiya Epoxy putty?

Was there some sort of mold made first?

Looks great so far.

Re: S2K= Honda S 'Tune'thousand

Wow! Thanks guys. To answer some questions

Yes i'm using tamiya quick dry epoxy. Not it's not a resin kit. No I didn't use a mold. The side skirts where done mostly with the dull side of a blade to make the sharp edges and a toothpick (notice the little bucket of them in the last couple of pics). I just globbed a bunch on and kept molding with my fingers first. Then I would keep rolling a toothpick over it to smooth it out. Then I'd use a toothpic again or any flat object to press down and mold the straight lines. The little 'indentations' towards the front of the skirts where done by taking a piece of styrene and just pressing it down into the putty.

Then I just started sanding with a 300 grit dremel drum. Then I used 220 grit paper and worked my up to 1000. I always attached my sandpaper to some flat object to allow me to make the lines crisp (toothpick, blade, piece of styrene, block etc)
