Re: muffler prob

lol, why do you keep making muffler threads? lol, anyone wanna recommend him a really good muffler... lol, and as said in a previous post it wont make a noticeable diffrence as it will be using the stock pipes, you could save yourself a lil cash by swaping the mufflers yourself in your driveway...

Re: muffler prob

azneric, stop making exhaust threads asking the same question, i have responded to several of them and they are getting old. if you have new questions, post them in your old threads, if you have new subjects to discuss create a new thread.

Re: muffler prob

wont too much flow have not enough resistance and change his power band and probably lose some torque and hp?

Depends on what all mods you've got done. I've got a Borla 3" cat-back exhaust that needs to be installed, but I'm going to have the muffler shop rig it up to be 2.75" instead. Other guys I've talked to who have the same motor say that the stock exhaust off the V8's, which I believe is 2.75" (on most at least) works wonders on the 3.4. No backfire or anything. So 3" shouldn't be bad at all for the 3.8. But again, it all depeneds on what mods you've got done. If you threw a 3" catback on a stock 3.8, then yeah, I'm sure it will kill the performance.

Payed $555 for mine, from RKSport on eBay. And the one I got is normally retailed at $795, so that's one heck of a deal if you ask me. If you're going to do cat-back, then I'd also suggest headers, and a high-flow cat as well. That way you'll get all the performance you can get out of your exhaust. And also be sure to get a nice intake setup too. I recommend you went with a nice free flowing intake lid (i like the looks of the transparent ones) along with a K&N filter.
